Romi Mahajan is the Chief Marketing Officer of Metavana, tuning into the voice of the consumer from diverse social web and internet sources in order to help brands discover, classify, and assess expressions of opinion and emotion. Before Metavana, Romi spent 9 years at Microsoft and founded the KKM Group, a boutique advisory firm. Romi is an angel investor, public speaker, and advisor to start-ups and non-profits. Mahajan graduated from the University of California at Berkeley at the age of 19 with a Bachelor’s degree in South Asian Studies. He also received a Master’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He lives in Bellevue, WA, with his wife and two kids.
In my second book “To Thine Own Self: Honesty in Marketing,” I attempt to offer a way for marketers to give up the disingenuousness that characterizes – and debases—the profession. If my first book “Cool is for Fools” was about helping marketers reclaim their profession, this book is about creating honest and just frameworks from which to act as a marketer.
